About The Author

Holly Eddleston is a teenage girl who loves animals – especially those that are in need, like the endangered Key deer and manatee. Holly first learned about Florida’s tiny Key deer while living in Duck Key, a small island in the Middle Keys. One night, on a drive back from Key West with her family, she encountered a small group of Key deer peacefully grazing on Big Pine. She was later surprised to learn that there are less than 800 in existence. That fact, along with their incredible cuteness, gave her an idea: To create a line of books that help spread awareness for the Key deer and inspire others to support their protection as well as other unique wildlife in the Florida Keys. She hopes that her Key Deer Adventure Books teach children about the beautiful Florida Key Islands and their many amazing animals.

A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the books are donated to the Key Deer Refuge in Florida which supports a wide range of animals living in the Florida Keys. To date, over $1000 has been donated.
